At most it takes 20 minutes to run through the instance, kill him and hearth out. I've actually gotten it down to a science and it's pretty much like clockwork now. I've killed him 4 times using this method. They will leave the room and disappear in a bit so take this time to gloat and brag over guild chat about your victory. With some skillful timing and a little luck he should die well before he even gets close to the entrance to his room.Īfter he dies, simply FD and let his adds kill your pet. If your pet dies, you might as well FD and try again. Your pet will end up doing a lion share of the work on the Overlord as you are kiting so stop just long enough to sink in a shot or two and keep moving. It's important that you keep his adds slowed so they can't beat on your pet that much. (The trap actually has no effect on the overlord which allows him and your pet to gain some considerable distance from his adds as he chases you.)Īs soon as your frost trap resets, drop another one and keep kiting down the hall back towards the entrance to his room. This part is a bit tricky because you have to watch him and his two adds that are now lagging way behind due to the frost trap. Turn on cheetah at this point and ensure that your dot is on him. Once you sink enough damage into him he becomes less interested in your pet and alot more interested in you. Now go down the winding ramp to your max attack distance and start using your highest damage skills and distracting shot on him. When the adds start beating on you, just FD, then pop back up to dump their agro onto your pet. The trap isn't for him, it's actually to slow his adds down. Imediately drop a frost trap and allow Wyrmthalak to set it off. By this time his two adds should be rounding the corner at the bottom of his walkway. If you don't melee him up top against the wall then he will punt you clear across the room and cause you to lose upwards of half your hp from the fall.Įventually, he will punt you harmlessly against the wall and you will drop agro. Well, this is one time when it is kinda smart. I've found that it's actually best to close the distance and place your back against the wall up top near his original position and just melee him. I use rapid fire, bestial wrath, etc to put as much pain on him as possible at the very beginning.Įventually he "punts" your pet and comes after you. This time is used to sink in as much damage as possible. I send in my pet and immediately stun him with intimidation. Use the Pet pull/cheetah/FD method to bypass 99% of the mobs in the place to get back to his room.Īfter clearing his room of adds, you're pretty much ready to start.
